PENGUIN SERIES PSS STAINLESS STEEL VERTICAL IN-TANK PUMPS

Stainless Steel Vertical In-Tank Pumps are compact and simple in design, having only one moving part, yet highly efficient with proven performance. A Penguin vertical in-tank pump is corrosion resistant and all-purpose, ideal for many OEM wet process applications. Whether you are pumping cleaners, caustics, salt solutions, chlorinated solvents, photographic chemicals, deionized water, fatty, phosphoric, citric, or lactic acids, they can be pumped with confidence.  Maximum temperature rating are primarily dependent on the elastomer employed and the vapor pressure of the liquid being pumped.  316 Stainless Steel Vertical Pumps utilize a replaceable coupled shaft using multiple set screws to minimize shaft deflection and misalignment associated problems while allowing the use of standard NEMA motors.  Standard elastomers are EPR Optional Viton and PTFE elastomers are also available.  A motor Stand off and PTFE slinger/Disk provide optimum bottom motor bearing protection against chemical fume corrosiveness in the Penguin vertical in-tank pump.  Single phase motors are wired for 115 volts using a six foot cord and grounding plug or for 230 volts using a six foot cord without a plug.  All three phase motors are shipped unwired, whereby the direction of motor rotation must be determined by the end user prior to operation.

PENGUIN SERIES PT TITANIUM VERTICAL IMMERSIBLE PUMPS

Titanium Vertical Immersible Pumps are compact and simple in design, having only one moving part, yet highly efficient with proven performance. Because of the unique impeller design in conjunction with no “mechanical seal” or “support bearing” employed, wearing parts are minimized with labor cost and down time greatly reduced. Constructed of industrial grade 2 titanium, these general corrosion-resistant all purpose pumps are ideal for many OEM and chemical wet processing applications – whether you are pumping cleaners, caustic materials, salt solutions, chlorinated solvents, photographic chemicals, de-ionized water, fatty, phosphoric, citric, or lactic acids – we can pump it with confidence. Maximum temperature ratings are primarily dependent on the elastomer employed and the vapor pressure of the liquid being pumped. Penguin Series PT vertical pumps have a rigid, solid titanium shaft, permanently attached to the rotor drive shaft of the motor without the employment of coupling/set screw assemblies, thus minimizing shaft deflection and misalignment associated problems. One pump size, available 1/2hp through 1 1/2hp, these pumps are versatile, easy to install, require minimal tank space, and can be easily moved from tank to tank. Standard pump models are equipped with a totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor. Most motor housings come standard with epoxy coating for added resistance to the chemical corrosion. Standard o-ring elastomers employed are EPR with optional viton and PTFE elastomers available. Single phase motors wired 115 volt are supplied with a 6 foot cord and grounding plug, while those wired for 230 volt are supplied with a 6 foot cord but no grounding plug. Three phase motors are shipped unwired. The titanium vertical in-tank pump and out-of-tank pump employ a cantilevered shaft, which eliminates employment of any pump bushing or bearing whatsoever, thus allowing these pumps to run dry without damage. Employment of a viton vapor seal assembly provides added bottom motor bearing protection against chemical fume corrosion. Series P titanium pumps may be mounted and operated inside or outside the tank similarly to the Series P plastic vertical pumps.

PENGUIN HORIZONTAL MAGNETIC PUMPS

Series M Magnetic sealless Drive Pumps are corrosion resistant to a wide range of chemical solutions including acids, alkalies and caustics up to 180ºF. There is no shaft seal, so there is no seal wear or leakage and there is no seal friction to cause loss of pumping power. The only moving parts inside the pump volute are the impeller magnet assembly and the bushing, which rotates on the pure ceramic spindle. Powerful impeller and drive magnets provide full torque, prevent slippage and give instant start-up. Penguin magnetic sealless drive pumps are constructed of polypropylene and/or ryton, carbon or chemloy or ryton/teflon (bushing), ceramic (spindle and thrust washers) and viton (O-ring). As an option, single phase motors are wired for 115V and supplied with cord and grounding plug.Model M-3/4 can be supplied as a self-priming unit using a 1HP motor. Also as an option, Penguin priming chambers can be supplied to other M series pumps to facilitate priming the pump and reduce the danger of running the pump dry. Mounted on a common polypropylene base, the priming chamber is piped directly to the suction of the pump with a flow valve on the pump discharge. Casters can be added for portability. 316 SS and Kynar construction are available on many models.

PENGUIN HORIZONTAL CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS

Series HOM Centrifugal Pumps (model HOM-1/2V) horizontal pumps and centrifugal pumps are designed as an economical alternative for OEM applications which require high flow rates under moderate head conditions with minimum suction lift.  A true volute design accompanied by a full diameter impeller creates a highly efficient, energy-saving pump since less horsepower is required.  The true volute design eliminates shock losses, prolongs seal life, and produces smooth and quiet operation.  The rear impeller vanes are designed to insure proper lubrication of the seal cavity while the central discharge of the pump housing prevents air locking.   The HOM series horizontal pumps and centrifugal pumps are easy to assemble and disassemble. The pump bracket and half the volute are one piece. The V-band tightens and seals the front cover to the volute pump housing, thus eliminating the use of many housing cover nuts and bolts. The volute pump housing and cover are supplied in glass filled polypropylene and the impeller is CPVC. Totally enclosed fan cooled standard NEMA 56J frame motors are employed. The motors are supplied with mounting feet and a 7/16-20 UNF threaded shaft. Ethylene propylene (EPR) is the standard elastomer for O-rings and seal components. Viton is available as an option. A completely metalless Diplo seal is supplied containing a simple two-part design for higher reliability, lower leakage, easier installation, and minimized damage from dry running. Standard materials are carbon/ceramic/EPR. Carbon/ceramic/viton is available as an option. A unique quick release V-clamp is supplied in 300 stainless steel designed for applications which require frequent assembly and disassembly. The T-bolt passes through a notch in the strap or latch allowing the clamp to open without removing the knob. This threaded CPVC priming chamber aids in helping to prime the pump. An optional CPVC flapper valve with EPR elastomers and a 2” FPT inlet port is also available.

PENGUIN MULTI-STAGE HORIZONTAL DIFFUSER PUMPS

Series HD Multi-Stage Horizontal Diffuser Pumps (Model HD-1-1/2-2) are designed for higher pressure and moderate flow rate applications. Series HD pumps create flows with pressures comparable to pumps having impellers 2 or 3 times their size with less disk friction loss. In lieu of using a single large diameter impeller, the same pressure can be obtained by utilizing two or more smaller impellers in series. Thus, smaller pump cases are needed requiring less installation space. The diffuser vanes required to guide the fluid from one impeller to the next creates hydraulic balance radially, thus providing higher efficiency and a quiet smooth operation.  Penguin diffuser pumps are constructed of CPVC and 316SS or optional titanium shaft with temperatures to 200°F. HD Series pumps are available 2-stage, 1-1/2hp and 2 hp, and 3-stage, 2 hp or 3 hp. Three-phase motors are shipped unwired.
