Witt Lining Systems fabricates flexible drop-in liners for corrosion control in tanks, pits, sumps, and both primary and secondary containment areas. Industries served include metal finishing, plating, anodizing, aerospace, oil and gas, mining, municipal water treatment, and food and agriculture. Witt offers a variety of materials such as Koroseal®, Spectra Blue® and Exceline®.  Witt Lining Systems also offers alternatives to PVC, custom fabricating Teflon®, Kynar® PVDF , and XR-5® liners. Wiitt offers a variety of liner grades and thicknesses to suit your lining need.

koroseal® PVC lining

Koroseal PVC has a long proven track record of superior performance and lining protection in a wide range of chemical applications. Its unique formulation provides high resistance to strong corrosives, alkalis and salts. With an upper operating temperature of 200OF, A Koroseal liner is designed to handle the most aggressive applications.

Koroseal liners are an excellent choice for both process and storage tanks. It is highly recommended for use in hard chrome plating solutions coupled with a an LFP CrossFilm™ skirt. Koroseal is also the ideal and also for other chrome based solutions.

Witt Lining Systems is the exclusive tank liner manufacturer that can provide all the advantages of a drop in liner with Koroseal’s proven formulation.

Koroseal® PVC drop in liners are available in 60 mil, 3/32 in., 1/8 in., and 3/16 in. gauges.

As its name implies, HP Koroseal® PVC liners take standard Koroseal liners to the next level. With a slightly improved formulation HP Koroseal provides an added temperature range of up to 215°F and provides a longer service life in harsh conditions.

Like standard Koroseal® PVC liners, an HP Koroseal® PVC liner is recommended for process tanks and storage tanks and in applications where temperature ranges are high or chemical concentrations are very aggressive.  HP Koroseal liners can run up to 215ºF depending upon the solution.

HP Koroseal drop in liners are available in 3/16 in. gauge. Other gauges are available on a qualified quantity basis.

Exceline® PVC Lining

Exceline PVC is a premium PVC formulation liner that offers greater chemical resistance and higher temperature ranges than standard PVC. Exceline PVC liner has very high acid, alkali, and salt resistance and has a constant operating temperature of 180ºF.

Exceline PVC liners have been used with great results in plating tanks, chemical process tanks, storage tanks, and waste treatment applications.

Exceline drop in liners are available in 1/8 in. and 3/16 in. gauges. We also have a 20 mil gauge material used for disposable type liners for electroless nickel plating, eliminating the need for chemical leaching of the tank.

Spectra Blue® PVC liner is a proprietary formulation of PVC liner that has been exclusively developed by Witt Lining Systems. A lower cost material compared to our other formulations, Spectra Blue® PVC provides excellent chemical resistance to most acids, alkalis and salts up to a constant operating temperature of 145ºF.

Spectra Blue PVC liners are an excellent choice in both primary and secondary containment applications. With added UV inhibitors, Spectra Blue PVC is designed for both indoor and outdoor uses.

Spectra Blue PVC liners can be used in applications such as ambient chemical tanks, rinse tanks, mild process tanks, trenches, floors, pits, and containment areas.

Spectra Blue PVC drop in liners are available in 60 mil, 3/32 in., 1/8 in., and 3/16 in. gauges.

xr-5® and xr-5® pw

A heavy duty yet light weight sheeting material perfect for both primary and secondary containment applications.  XR-5® is a coated polyester reinforced membrane developed to contain and protect against acids, oils and methane. XR-5 is used as both a primary containment and secondary containment lining material. It offers excellent chemical resistance, superior UV resistance, and better tensile and puncture resistance compared to HDPE membranes.

XR-5 is also available in a formulation that is NSF-61 approved for potable water. This high strength, and highly puncture and tear resistant material offers more flexibility and performs better than any other membrane in potable water applications.

kynar® pvdf liners

A lightweight liner for the most aggressive chemical applications.  Besides great chemical resistance, Kynar PVDF liners have a high temperature range of up to 190°F. They also have excellent abrasion resistance and UV resistance. Kynar has a very high purity level, making it an excellent choice for the most demanding applications.

Kynar® PVDF liners from Witt are a flexible version of Kynar sheeting.  Kynar liners are 100% PVDF, not a PVDF coated fabric.  The Kynar liners offer flexibility to be fabricated in to a drop-in liner while maintaining tremendous resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals.  The material also carries with it extremely high purity and high abrasion resistance.

skirts for chrome plating

Hard chrome plating solutions are very aggressive at the upper and lower solution levels of the tank. As the solution evaporates, the concentration of chrome increases. Concentrated chrome vapor then condensates in the freeboard area and attacks traditional PVC liners. Witt Lining Systems innovated the solution of adding a skirt of either PVC liner or LFP CrossFilm™.

A skirt is a secondary layer of material that covers this upper and lower solution level that protects the main PVC liner from chemical exposure. A skirt made from PVC will act as a sacrificial piece of material but it will degrade over time and eventually expose the main liner to chemical attack. A skirt made from LFP CrossFilmTM is chemically inert. LFP skirts don’t break down over time and they eliminate any exposure of the PVC liner in this interface area giving the tank liner its full service life.

Couple the LFP CrossFilmTM skirt with the unmatched service life of a KorosealPVC liner and you have the longest lasting drop in liner available for hard chrome service. This longer service life means the associated time and costs of changing a liner out are fewer and provides a lower operating cost versus liners with no skirts.

wittclips

Prior to our invention of WittclipTM fasteners, most drop in liners were secured in tanks using drawstring rope. The problem with rope is that it doesn’t securely lock the tank liner to the rim of the tank. When the tank is filled with solution the liner can be pulled into the tank a bit, greatly affecting how the liner fits. The larger a liner is, the more pronounced this problem becomes.

To solve this issue, Witt Lining Systems invented the WittclipTM fastener. Wittclips are u-shaped stainless steel clips with a threaded bolt welded on one end. Wittclips securely hold the liner to the lip of the tank so that when the tank is filled, rather than pulling the liner into the tank, the weight of the solution pushes the tank liner flush to the sidewalls making for a perfect fitting liner.

bulk head fittings

Bulkhead fittings are plumbing connections that make a sealed fitting for outlets in conjunction with a flexible PVC tank liner. They come in a variety of sizes, material constructions, and plumbing connections.

welded-in outlets

Liners can be built with outlets to fit through piping with a flange faced connection.  They can be built into the liner or made separate and welded on after the liner is installed.

witt overflow setup

A bulkhead fitting with a slotted PVC pipe is the easiest way to provide an overflow weir with a flexible PVC tank liner.

compression strips

Rigid compression strips are ideal for installing Witt liners in a concrete application or when there is limited access to the tank rim.  Made from polypro or HDPE they come standard and pre-drilled.

Posi-flange heavy duty fitting

The Posi-Flange advantage is its strength. A compression seal is accomplished by stainless steel nuts and bolts. This is very desirable when a valve or pump is mounted on immediate piping. The Posi-Flange provides a female thread fitting. No metal is exposed to solution.

KOROSEAL® RIBLOK EMBED STRIP

An embed strip designed to provide the best surface for termination and attachment of a Witt PVC lining in new concrete.
